Bidet Information

Need help deciding?

If you're not sure which bidet to purchase, or if a bidet seat will even fit your toilet, just email us the name of the toilet manufacturer and the model of your toilet.  ALL of our toilet seat bidets will fit 2 piece toilets (separate tank and bowl).  Some of our bidet seats will fit 1 piece toilets, but not all of them.   In particular, most of our bidet seats won't fit the Kohler brand San Raphael or Rialto low-profile one piece toilets, with the exception of the COCO 6035R which will fit 1 piece toilets with a French curve at the back.  Also, the Bio Bidet Universal BB-300 will fit any 1 or 2 piece toilet.

Installation and Use

Our products are designed to be installed onto an existing toilet using a few simple tools.  Unlike porcelain bidets, our toilet seat bidets do not require any additional plumbing since they attach directly to the outlet coming out of the wall behind your toilet.  And, you don't have to attach our bidets to a hot water line either because most of our bidets heat their own water.  You will need a GFI protected electrical outlet near the toilet to plug the toilet seat bidet in to.

How do you use the toilet seat bidet?  When you're ready to finish up in the bathroom, a simple push of a button on the control panel, makes the bidet's hidden nozzle extend and begin a warm stream of water. The temperature and intensity of the water can be controlled, and the stream is aimed to cleanse the genito-anal region of the user while remaining seated on the toilet.  The whole process is controlled electronically and is more or less automatic, depending on which unit you purchase. Finally, push another button and a warm air blower (most models) dries you off. The whole process provides a thorough cleaning, making it much more hygienic than harsh toilet paper.  After the rectal area has been cleaned, you can push another button (most models) to start a warm air blower to help dry your butt.  That's it - you're done and clean!

Why use a bidet?

A bidet (pronounced bee-dáy )is great for everyday personal hygiene for the whole family.  And, they are especially beneficial to:

  • Individuals With Limited Mobility
  • Home Health Patients
  • MS Patients / ALS Patients
  • Colorectal, Crohn’s & Colitis Patients
  • Arthritis & Osteoarthritis Patients
  • Hemorrhoid Sufferers
  • Pregnant & Menstruating Women
  • Care Takers
  • Before and after sex

The bidet is a personal cleansing method utilizing a stream of water, which is more hygienic and beneficial to the use than toilet paper.  During the 19th century the Europeans developed a porcelain cleaning device for contraceptive and purgative (cathartic) uses. Over time, its use has evolved more into a personal cleansing method, paralleling the improved sanitation and the heightened sense of personal hygiene in the modern world.  For many years now, the bidet has been a welcome addition to the bathroom culture of Europeans and Asians.  And, in the last decade, the bidet has become tremendously popular in American bathrooms - especially the toilet seat bidet.
